The season is officially over & Harry is now preparing for the next season!

Flinders Mussels is a boutique aquaculture enterprise that prides itself on producing high quality blue mussels in a beautifully unique environment. For over twenty years, in the Flinders Aquaculture Fisheries Reserve, mussels have been harvested from the ropes upon which they grow from late December until the depths of winter when spawning occurs.

The environment is dynamic, making the mussels thrive. Fed by the tides entering and exiting Westernport Bay, the ropes swing back and forth with each swell rolling in from the Southern Ocean via Bass Strait.

Harvesting is weather and rainfall dependent and available seasonally. Check Instagram for updates.
